K-Phone is the default dialer for all of the phones produced by KCI. The application will also be installed into the PC format of the OS. This may not sound like it makes much sense, but this page will help explain that. K-Phone supports both cellular connections, and SIP (Session Initiated Protocol) connections. This creates a wide range of versatility, and consolidates what would have otherwise been two apps into one app. Those with an GIN/NIN will be able to acquire Kaldus domestic SIP plan for making calls within the nation for a single price. This is because all telephone providers must offer unlimited domestic calling for all of their plans. This means a foreigner will be able to acquire an NIN, and then use the SIP credentials to make calls to loved ones in Kaldus without an extra cost. With K-Circle, all SIP accounts will propagate to the other devices automatically, so there is no need to re-enter the credentials for each device. This keeps things simple and straight forward.
In Kaldus, all landline phones are required to be SIP. This will mean that the customer must have a SIP based telephone account to support this application. Since the application can support up to 10 incoming lines, and 1 outgoing line – this should be relatively easy to meet the needs of the user.
Computer
As a computer application, K-Phone will support up to 10 incoming SIP accounts, and one of those incoming accounts will also be used for outgoing calls. Obviously, there is a need for a SIP account plan with a VOIP provider, but this should be simple enough. This is great for those that sits in front of their computer all day handling calls. They will probably wish to have a headset, or earphone to answer the phone while still having their hands free. With that said, the computer can function like a telephone.
Wifi Phone
As with the computer, there will be support for 10 SIP accounts, and one default for outgoing calls. Since a Wifi phone will look and function as what you would expect from a smart phone (although only in Wifi), this should be an easy transition to make.
Cellular Phone
When the app installs on a cellular phone, it will support the number of cellular plans that there are in SIM slots (including eSIM). Therefore, a dual SIM phone will support for 2 cellular accounts. And as with the other options noted above, 10 incoming SIP accounts can be saved with one outgoing SIP account for SIP based calls. The operator of the phone will be able to select a default line to use for calls not within the contacts, and select a particular account when making contact calls. For example, if the operator has a personal line, and a work line – then family and friends can be called using the personal line, while business calls will call from the work line. The operator will also be able to assign a contact with SIP where the default SIP line will ring that contact.
