K-Flash is an image flashing tool. One will insert a thumb drive, and use the K-FLash utility to flash an OS installation media to the thumb drive. This could also work with a DVD writer if an external one is connected. Since all computers will come with a thumb drive with Kal-OS installed on it as a recovery tool, this is not necessary to make another Kal-OS image. This could however make Linux installations, or Windows installations.
When using K-Flash, the drive flashing to will be formatted losing any information that was on the drive. A warning will pop up on the screen with this notice, and intended to make sure you don’t accdiently delete any of your files by flashing to a used drive. K-Flash will not flash to A:, B:, nor C: drives. This is because A: is a SD card reader, B: is a micro-SD card slot, and C: is the OS drive.
