K-Shredder is a military grade file deletion tool. When someone deletes a file, it sits in the recycle bin, or trash can. When one empties the resource, then the file still remains in the drive until it is eventually overwritten. K-Shredder will do as the name implies, and completely destroys the file immediately. This will be done by writing the file with all 0s five times over – therefore irrevocably destroying the chance of recovering the file even with a recovery tool. This is military grade deletion, and will be used in the Kaldan Military for destroying sensitive files from being possibly acquired by a bad actor.
Keep in mind if the file you have shredded is in a backup file, that file is still in the backup file. The only way to completely delete the file will be to shred all of the backup files that the file is in. You could also choose to work with such files on removable drives (such as SD card) without backing up that particular drive. However, as mentioned, if you shred a file that is not backed up, you will not be able to recover the file.
