K: Vault is ideal for a 5U server, and a lot of drives. This will be similar to the demands of a K: NAS server. K: Vault is the media server for the home, or other resource. One could buy and download the video content to K: Vault, and from there – use the TV app to connect with their own personal premium channel that would display the movies and shows. Since the content is downloaded on the K: Vault media server, there is no need for an internet connection to watch the media on the K-Vault server.
K: Vault will also function as a mini library. One could buy .klib books, and download to the Library section of the server. When one wishes to “borrow” a book, they can go to the K: Vault library and select a book that they wish to read. To fulfill the needs and rights of the authors, any eBook borrowed from the library will not be available to other borrowers. This is like borrowing a physical book. If someone borrowed a book from the home library, then that book has to be returned before someone else can borrow it. K: Vault will do all of the managing of the virtual library.
K: Vault can also handle music files, and a music library With that noted, a computer with K-Music will be able to access the music library of K: Vault. This is based on the individuals personal music library. This means that if there is a family of 4, Mom can have her own music library, and Dad can have his own. Daughter and Son will also have their own separate libraries. This is ideal to store the music library in K: Vault because this means that a computer can have a smaller (a more affordable) drive for the computer.
