K-Fax is a document fax system. You can have some creativity with the cover page, but everything will be simple. You would use a format similar to an email message. The to will be the fax number you would need the computer to dial. The Subject is the subject of the fax, and the body is what would show on the cover sheet. You can then attach .odf or .pdf files as the documents you would want to fax. The application must have a compatible eFax service, or the computer needs a modem to send the fax message. You would be able to acquire Fax Over Internet Protocol. The fax application will support FOIP natively.
K-Fax will require a supporting FOIP (Fax Over Internet Protocol) account to set up, and use K-Fax. This is essential, and KCI does not provide faxing services. In addition, the subscriber can also use an eFax service, but again – this will be with another provider.
