K-Mail is the email client built into Kal-OS. While one could install other email clients, the goal is to make this email client fully featured, and capable. It would offer easy installation of popular providers such as Gmail. It would also instantly connect with Ka-Tel’s email service system with just knowing a UID, and password. If the user has 2FA enabled, they would have to enter that 6 digit code, but that is more for security. The application will be able to accept other providers if they wish to make it easier for someone with K-Mail to use their email service.
K-Mail will also support aliases. For example, let’s assume that frank@frank.ka was to have an alias of netflix@frank.ka, then they can choose to go to File > New > Alias, and add the alias using the credentials of the appropriate account for emailing. This will eliminate the need to have an extra “email” account for the alias. Obviously, the alias will go to the appropriate email account, and that email account must be added to K-Mail, but this would be expected.
